Plant and Animal Cell Differences | Diagrams

Although plant and animal cells are eukaryotic still they both are different from each other. Plant and animal cell differences can be studied based on structure and organelles present in them.

A brief overview of these organelles is below:

Cell wall: It gives a definite shape to the cell by making the outer boundary of the plant cell. It also protects the cell from any damage.

Nucleus: It controls all the activities of a cell.

Centrioles: They aid in the formation of spindle fiber during cell division.

Lysozymes: They contain digestive enzymes and aid in the breakdown of food and waste materials.

Chloroplast: It contains green pigment and helps in photosynthesis.

Vacuole: It contains water and food materials.

Cytoplasm: It is the main part of the cell and all the organelles float inside the cytoplasm. It also helps in the transport of material within and outside the cell.
